Courses in the Rehabilitation Assistant program focus on understanding human development and the human body. The Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant courses focus on:

• Understanding human development and the human body
• Body mechanics and systems,
• Biochemistry, anatomy and physiology
• Therapeutic exercise and the use of advanced equipment
• Client care including communications and record management
• Working with the elderly who have conditions and diseases such as dysphasia, osteoporosis, Parkinson's disease, orthopaedic conditions, cognitive impairment/dementia and others
• Therapeutic Techniques in Physical Disabilities, Psychiatry and Pediatrics

You will also complete Clinical Placements that provides you with the opportunity to develop and practice your skills.
