Unit Clerk Program Information
The Unit Clerk course at Robertson College provides the necessary training for nursing unit clerks to perform a variety of administrative functions to help manage the day-to-day operations in a hospital, care centre, physician’s office or other medical facility. In this program you will learn to:
- Effectively relay information between staff and patients
- Communicate with other departments to coordinate patient appointments and transportation
- Manage daily operations so the hospital ward runs smoothly
- Schedule tests and accurately manage drug supplies
- Efficiently admit and discharge patients
- Transcribe physician’s orders
- Maintain patient charts
