Early Childhood Education Assistant Courses

Child Growth and Development

• This course presents a comprehensive overview of the developmental changes that take place from conception to twelve years. Emphasis will be on the individual needs of each child.

Interpersonal Skills

• This course will provide you with the skills necessary for effective communication and focuses on acquiring and understanding basic communication theory and to have well-developed receptive and responsive communication skills.

Health, Safety and Nutrition

• The Health, Safety and Nutrition course will present a comprehensive overview of three major topical areas: children’s health issues, safety concerns and management, and nutrition. This course also covers Health, Safety and Nutrition and provides students with an in-depth study of dental health, communicable illnesses, fire, playground and seatbelt safety, as well as child abuse and neglect.
