Construction Electrician – Level 2 Accelerated Certificate Program Information
The Construction Electrician - Level 2 certificate is the second year theoretical and hands-on training component of the four-year program with students receiving certification as a third year apprentice.
Students will learn single-phase AC theory, advanced motor control, advanced electronics and the Canadian Electrical Code.
Construction Electrician Level 2 Courses Include:
- Solve Problems using Applied Mathematics
- Electrical Circuit Concepts—Part 2
- Analyze Single Phase AC Circuits
- Electronic Circuits—Part 2
- Oscilloscopes
- Protective Devices
- Lighting and Lighting Controls
- Connect and Maintain Transformers
- Magnetic Motor Controls—Part 2
The Math for Trades program is available to help students build a foundation of math skills required for various trade applications.
Note: Students must be a sponsored apprentice registered with ITA prior to starting the program and writing the ITA-BC Certification Exam.
