College of Business

The College of Business at Sullivan University offers Certificates, Diplomas, Associate and Bachelor level degrees.

• The Associate level programs offered are in Accounting, Business Management, and Logistics and Transportation Management.
• Bachelor’s level programs include: Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources Leadership, and Interdisciplinary Business Studies.

In the Business Administration and Interdisciplinary Business Studies programs you will have the option to concentrate your degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, Management, Marketing or Supply Chain Management allowing you to acquire specialized knowledge in those specific areas. The Capstone Course for the Business Administration Degree will require you  to simulate running a business where you have full decision making authority allowing you to apply all of the knowledge you have acquired throughout the program. If you wish to further your education, in your final year of your Bachelor’s degree studies you will be allowed to fulfill elective space by taking classes in The Graduate School. As long as you meet the required criteria, this opportunity affords you the opportunity to take four Masters’ level classes which equates to the ability to complete one third of your Master’s Degree while still an undergraduate.

Associate Degree Business Programs

Associate of Science in Accounting

The accounting skills taught range from recording basic journal entries to financial statement preparation and analysis. Accounting students will learn:

• How to record business transactions using General Ledger Computer Software
• About payroll with a simulation model both as a manual system and a computerized system
• How to use a “Practice Set” that provides a full understanding of the accounting cycle from initial entries through financial statement preparation
• How to design an accounting system
• Tax law through preparation of true-to-life tax returns for individuals and corporations.
• In addition, accounting students will also integrate textbook learning with industry practices and issues through various research projects and papers.

Associate of Science in Business Management

The Business Management programs provide students interested in careers in business management with a foundational level of coursework that will prepare them for a career in the world of business. The program not only provides coursework that will give you the knowledge and skills needed for a career in business management, but also do so from a real-world perspective.

Bachelor's Degree Programs in Business

Bachelor of Science in Accounting

The Sullivan University School of Accountancy incorporates a unique blend of accounting, business, information technology and general education requirements within the curriculum. This emphasis is reflected with real-world and computer applications in every course. Additionally, The School of Accountancy has a strategic goal of preparing every accounting graduate for completion of an accounting certification, such as the CMA and/or CPA.

Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies

The Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Business Studies (BSIBS) provides the opportunity for mature adult learners to individualize their college education by co-designing an individualized degree program that includes the study of two business or business-related disciplines. Working closely with an advisor from the College of Business Administration, a student forms a program of study in two business or business-related fields that most effectively supports his or her desired goals.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Concentration Options

Finance Concentration

A Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance prepares you for more advance positions within the finance industry and includes investment and portfolio management.

Marketing Concentration

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing covers areas such as market research, brand management and sales management.

Healthcare Management Concentration

General business knowledge such as conflict resolution and macroeconomics, are taught, as well as industry-specific courses in finance such as financial management and economics, management, conflict management, marketing, business law and ethics and information systems in addition to issues specifically related to the healthcare sector.

After graduation, students may be interested in pursuing their healthcare management studies through Sullivan University's Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Public Management (MPM), both of which offer healthcare concentrations.

Management Concentration

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management program focuses on general business with special attention given to management-related areas like decision-making and leadership. Specific management coursework includes basic principles of management, human resources / employee law, and organizational performance
