The Certificate in Child and Adolescent Psychology program enables students to enhance their skills and advance their careers in psychology.

Experienced and knowledgeable faculty teach students about all the factors that impact children and teens, including:

  • Social influencers
  • Psychological factors
  • Biological causes

Framed with professionals in youth and family services in mind, students learn conflict resolution strategies that they can use in educational, clinical, and nonprofit environments. Students will partake in coursework that includes:

  • Psychopathology
  • Behavior disorders
  • Trauma
  • Crisis intervention
  • Evidence-based programs

Upon completion of the Certificate in Child and Adolescent Psychology, graduates will be able to help children and adolescents suffering from the following issues:

  • Body image
  • Relationships
  • Peer pressure
  • Drugs and alcohol
  • Parental divorce or death
  • Sexuality
