Become a Travel Consultant and expertly plan people’s dream adventures!  While it’s easy for some travellers to search the web for where they want to go, complicated travel plans need expert Travel Counsellors to help plan them.  

Travel Counsellor Program Information

At Robertson College you will earn your Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC) designation though the Association of Travel Counsellors (ACTA) and gain real experience by participating in a familiarization trip to popular destinations.

The Travel Counsellor program will teach you how to:

  • Expertly assist clients in planning package tours
  • Plan and book accommodations
  • Advise travelers about laws and regulations for international travel 
  • Be able to provide destination information such as culture, attractions and safety issues

At the end of their travel agent training, students participate in a four-week practicum.  Upon completion of the practicum, the Career Services group will work with you to help you find employment through their extensive employer network.  The Career Services team at Robertson College is proud of their successful employment rates for graduates of this program. Many career opportunities exist across Alberta and Manitoba.
