The global supply chain market requires well-rounded employees who are organized, detail oriented, enjoy working in a busy team environment and who can multi-task to meet a variety of challenges.

Supply Chain and Logistics Program Overview

The  Supply Chain and Logistics program at Eastern College will give you a well rounded exposure to the international supply chain and will enable you to gain the skills and proficiencies needed for a wide range of careers within the supply chain and logistics field.

You will develop essential skills such as analytical thinking, problem solving and learn about:

  • Supply Chain and Logistics
  • Logistics and Transportation
  • Purchasing
  • Contract Law and Administration
  • Security, Compliance and Loss Prevention
  • Supply Chain Purchasing and Inventory Management
  • Operations Management
  • Negotiations and Supplier Management
  • Inventory Control and Materials Management
  • International Transportation and Trade
  • Freight Forwarding
  • Customs issues and procedures
  • You will also participate in a 4-month Internship

Accreditation

 

This program is accredited by the Canadian Supply Chain Sector Council through its National Accreditation Program (NAP).  

Certifications

 

Graduates who meet the requirements outlined by the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA) will achieve a Certificate in International Freight Forwarding that is nationally recognized within the international transportation and international trade logistics industries. New Brunswick graduates of the Supply Chain & Logistics Diploma Program receive advanced standing towards the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation. The SCMP designation is an internationally-accredited certification of strategic supply chain leadership, and is Canada’s most widely-held designation in supply chain management.
