TD Scholarships for Community Leadership are awarded to students in their last year of high school or CEGEP (in Quebec) who have demonstrated leadership in improving their community.
Consider a career as a Practical Nurse if you are compassionate and have a desire to serve your community in the healthcare field. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) you will work closely with other health care specialists in acute care wards, private homes, public schools, care home or nursing home.
The Practical Nursing diploma program at CDI College will prepare you to deliver patient care in a variety of practice settings in BC.
The comprehensive training you receive will prepare you to assume the fundamental duties and responsibilities of a Practical Nurse. The curriculum meets the competencies and standards laid out by the College of Licensed Practical Nursing British Columbia (CLPNBC).
The Practical Nursing courses combine both classroom learning and lab work. You will also gain hands-on experience through four separate, supervised practicum opportunities, which exposes you to real-world best practices and field training.
Practical nursing students will also take part in a final preceptorship at the end of the program to help transition you from student to graduate.
Upon graduation, you will be prepared to write the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration exam to obtain your license to practice.
