Police Foundations Program Information

Having a Police Foundations diploma will prepare you for a career in law enforcement in Ontario and across Canada.  Instructors at Westervelt College are active and recently retired police officers and know what it takes to prepare candidates for the Constable Selection process of any police service. 

Westervelt’s style of training is desirable to recruiters, where students wear a uniform and follow the daily regimen and discipline required of a police officer.  You will become fully knowledgeable in criminal and civil law, criminology, Principles of Evidence and about the Canadian Legal System.  You will also learn about psychology, sociology, social issues and policing protocols and strategies.
