Fast track your career and become a Pharmacy Technician at Westervelt College. The Pharmacy Technician program is a 12-month diploma program and enables you to become a working professional in the Pharmacy field in less time that other programs.
The Pharmacy Technician courses are divided into three components: lectures for theoretical knowledge, labs to practice your skills in the fully equipped Pharmacy Lab; and practicum placements where you will receive field training and experience.
Courses include the fundamentals of Anatomy and Physiology, how to fill medications from physician orders and prescriptions and about pharmaceutical and self-care products. Students will also understand pharmacy business concepts and procedures.
Westervelt College has received Full Accreditation status by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs for a five-year term (January 2014 – December 2018).
