TD Scholarships for Community Leadership are awarded to students in their last year of high school or CEGEP (in Quebec) who have demonstrated leadership in improving their community.
Home-based care for the elderly or those who are recovering from illness or surgery is growing and creating a demand for qualified personal support workers (PSWs).
The Personal Support Worker program at CTS Canadian Career College trains graduates to excel in Ontario’s health care sector.
Personal Support Worker students also will participate in a Precepted Clinical Placement and a Supervised Clinical Placement.
Upon successful completion of the PSW program graduates write a comprehensive final exam set out by the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC). The NACC final exam evaluates the theory component of the PSW training and determines whether the candidate has the required level of knowledge to do the job safely and effectively.
Personal Support Workers find employment in community or institutional setting such as hospitals, long-term facilities, home-care or adult day programs.
