Unit Clerk Program Information

The Unit Clerk course at Robertson College provides the necessary training for nursing unit clerks to perform a variety of administrative functions to help manage the day-to-day operations in a hospital, care centre, physician’s office or other medical facility.  In this program you will learn to:

  • Effectively relay information between staff and patients
  • Communicate with other departments to coordinate patient appointments and transportation
  • Manage daily operations so the hospital ward runs smoothly
  • Schedule tests and accurately manage drug supplies
  • Efficiently admit and discharge patients
  • Transcribe physician’s orders
  • Maintain patient charts
