The Health Information Management program at the Centre for Distance Education is recognized by the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA). To work in Health Information Management in Canada, you must be certified by CHIMA by passing the National Certification Exam. Once you pass the exam you will be eligible to use the professional credential CHIM and the professional title, Certified HIM Professional.
