A s we get closer to the October 2018 marijuana legalization date, universities and colleges are developing and rolling out training programs to meet the need
The Community Service Worker (CSW) program at Westervelt College provides the technical and theoretical training to prepare you to work with clients in a range of age groups, with varying social and emotional issues.
The CSW program includes small group work, practice interviews, and exercises in self-awareness. Throughout the courses in the Community Service Worker program, students will gain an understanding of the complexities of contemporary community work practice, the helping process, human development, first aid/CPR and crisis prevention.
Westervelt College will also coordinate a practicum placement within a healthcare setting to gain practical, related experience.
