To address Ontario’s Personal Support Worker Shortage, the Ontario government is providing grants up to $13,235 to new students. Eligible students who enroll in a PSW program at a participating private career college and start their training between May 1 and July 31, 2021 can receive up to $13,235 to cover the costs of tuition, books and other mandatory fees, as well as a stipend for a clinical work placement.
There is a critical shortage of personal support workers in Ontario so there are immediate and ongoing job opportunities for PSWs throughout the province.
